WHAT IS AN ORIGINAL ARTWORK?

When an artist creates a unique artwork, that is an original. That original may be a  painting of some kind, or one of many other kinds of media. It seems that the types of original media proliferate widely, however, if the artist makes it with  his/her own hands OR under his/her supervision then it is an original.

Ragnhild Jevne hand paints with Gold or Bronze detailing each and every poster sold.

WHAT IS LIMITED EDITION

In printmaking, an edition is a number of prints struck from one plate, usually at  the same time. A limited edition is a fixed number of impressions produced on the understanding that no further impressions (copies) will be produced later. Each limited edition poster by Ragnhild Jevne is signed by the artist in pencil, and the individual print number marked, for example 67/100, which shows the unique number of that impression and the total edition size — in this case print 67 of 100, with no more to be made.

WHAT IS MIXED MEDIA

In visual art, mixed media is an artwork in which more than one medium has been employed. Ragnhild Jevne uses digital print combined with hand painted Gold or Bronze detailing for her poster series Mental Mechanism, mixing both method and media.

COLORS REPRESENTATION

Although we attempt to represent the truest colors of the artwork on screen, the nature of digital screens, and your own computers preferences and settings, may result in colors differing slightly.
